1 The password is becoming more expensive

1Password is raising its prices on March 27, 2026. In an email sent to users, the password manager says it will raise the price of its annual individual plan from $35.88 to $47.88, and that its family plan will increase from $59.88 to $71.88.

“While 1Password’s value and capabilities have grown substantially, our pricing has remained largely unchanged for many years,” 1Password said in an email. 1Password says the price increase will help it “continue to invest in the innovation and world-class security you expect.” The email lists some of the new features the company has recently added to the platform, such as the ability to store login and payment information, anti-phishing protection, and faster device setup.

As noted by 1Password, the price increase will take effect during the next plan renewal if it’s after March 27th. The Verge reached out to 1Password for more information about whether the pricing changes will affect its monthly plans, but did not immediately hear back.
