A new leak from China aims to detail the design of the iPhone Fold. A leak known as Instant Digital says the foldable iPhone will feature a Touch ID power button, as seen on the iPad Air and iPad mini.

The device will reportedly have a black rear camera compartment that will house two cameras, a microphone, and a flash.

The biggest battery ever in an iPhone

Apple’s first foldable iPhone is expected to debut this September. Reports suggest that the long-rumored device will sport a wide design with a 5.5-inch cover display and a 7.58-inch internal screen.

The latest leak from reliable Weibo leaker Instant Digital reveals more about the foldable device’s design. Similar to current iPhones, the right side of the device will feature a power button integrated with Touch ID and camera controls.

Apple also plans to place the volume rocker on the top right edge of the device, as seen on the iPad mini. This is apparently due to the fact that the company internally placed the motherboard on the right. Such a design eliminates the need to run internal wiring through the device.

This also reportedly allowed Apple to dedicate the entire space on the left to the screen structure and battery. As a result, the iPhone Fold may have the largest battery capacity of any iPhone to date.

A single punch hole for the front camera

In addition, the leaker says that the front of the foldable iPhone will have a single hole for the selfie camera. It looks like Apple will ditch Face ID and stick with Touch ID on devices due to space and technology constraints.

On the back, the dual cameras will sit horizontally in an iPhone Air-like camera tray.

Apple will apparently only offer the iPhone Fold in two colors, one of which will be white. However, the company will reportedly finish the rear camera module in black for a dual-tone look. The next color has not been confirmed yet, but it will likely be black.
