While the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max aren’t expected to launch for another seven months or so, there have already been plenty of rumors about the devices.
iPhone 18 Pro models were initially reported to have full under-screen Face ID, with only the front-facing camera visible in the upper-left corner of the screen. However, the latest rumors suggest that the devices will only have partially under-screen Face ID, resulting in a narrower Dynamic Island area.
We’ve rounded up 12 features rumored for iPhone 18 Pro models from February 2026 below:
- The same overall design is expected with 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays and a “plateau” with three rear cameras.
- More energy efficient LTPO+ displays
- Narrower Dynamic Island due to Face ID being partially below the screen
- Variable aperture for at least one rear camera
- A20 Pro chip made by TSMC’s 2nm process and new packaging technology
- Simplified camera control button without swiping
- Changes to the design of the rear ceramic shield for MagSafe charging, possibly including a more frosted glass look
- C1X or C2 modem designed by Apple for 5G/LTE mobile connectivity
- Apple-designed N1 chip or later for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread
- Browsing the web via satellite
- New color options under consideration: burgundy, brown or purple
- The iPhone 18 Pro Max may be slightly thicker than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, possibly due to the larger battery
