A few months ago I reviewed the Kuxia X40 Turbo. It was one of the first chargers to bring us the new Qi2.2 25W charging speeds. It came in a stunning space orange color to match the new iPhone 17 Pro, was super compact and also charged my Apple Watch and AirPods. That charger has become a staple in my travel pack. But now, Kuxiu has introduced its new X55 Turbo charger, which is more budget-oriented and provides almost the same basic experience at a more competitive price. The biggest change is in the design and materials, but the performance remains the same, which is the most important aspect. Here’s what you should know.
The biggest thing to note is that this charger aims to achieve the fastest Qi2.2 charging speeds without breaking the bank. It still follows the same 3-in-1 folding design language as the X40 Turbo, but with even more features and usage scenarios. The biggest cost difference you’ll see between the X40 Turbo and the X55 Turbo is that the X55 is made of plastic, while the X40 is made of aluminum. Here are the key specs:
- It supports Qi2.2 25W fast charging
- Supported by iPhone 16 and later with iOS 26
- Older iPhones will be charged at 15W
- A 3-in-1 charger that charges iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods
- Maximum power 35W – 25W for phone, 5W for Airpods, 5W for Apple Watch
- Included in the package:
- X55 Turbo
- Solid storage pocket
- 45W charging cube
- USB-C cable

A few things really stand out here. The first is the fact that it still includes the charging cube needed to achieve maximum charging power. This is rarer and rarer these days. The second advantage is that even though it is an affordable product, you still get a maximum charging speed of 25W. There is also a charging mode, which the X55 Turbo has, which the X40 does not. Let me explain.
My experience
If you’ve used the old X55 charger or even the X40 Turbo, this will be very familiar. The first aspect I like about Kuxiu products is that you get everything you need to use them. There are chargers that are 3x the price and don’t even include a charging cube in the box, so the fact that this one comes with a 45W GaN charger is amazing. The biggest physical difference is in the building materials. The X55 Turbo is made of this soft plastic that feels almost like rubber. What’s nice is that it still feels premium. It feels like the bottom of the iPad Pro Magic Keyboard, which makes it feel like a more expensive product. It also has a nice weight to it, which helps when you use this charger in stand mode.

I’ve been using this charger as my main bedside charger for about two weeks now and it checks every single box. A few things really stood out to me. The first is versatility. You can use this charger in many modes and environments. For example, you can fold it completely and use it as a single Magsafe puck charger to charge your iPhone. You can also unfold it and use it as a stand, and you can charge all three devices while your iPhone is in standby mode. Finally, unlike the X40 Turbo, this one can lie completely flat. Even if your phone doesn’t support MagSafe, you can still use it with this charger. One last quality-of-life feature I noticed is that the AirPods charger has magnets that help with alignment when you put it down. If you have a modern pair of AirPods, they have MagSafe magnets. Combine that with the magnets on the charger and you’ll never have a problem with alignment when laying down.
Price and availability
The Kuxiu X55 Turbo only comes in one color as shown above. You can get it from the Kuxiu store for just $59, compared to the X40 Turbo which is listed at $80. As I mentioned, the X55 Turbo comes with a charger, a 45W charging cube, a cable and even a carrying case.
Final thoughts

We live in a world with thousands of charging options. So it’s nice to see a charger that ticks every box, delivers everything you need, and at a great price. While there is still a market for a charger with nicer finishes and materials, most people just want something that works, works great, and lasts for years. Kuxia provided this with the X55 Turbo. You get a charger that adapts to every situation. You can use it as a main desktop charger and also fold it up and take it with you on the go. You get the fastest wireless charging speeds iPhones support, and it’s purpose-built for your Apple ecosystem. Overall, this is a great product that gets my recommendation.
what do you think Is this something you would use? Do you have a Qi2.2 wireless charger? Does your iPhone support it? Let’s discuss below.
