Indie App Spotlight: ‘WatchFit’ lets you create custom workouts for your Apple Watch – 9to5Mac

Welcome to India App Spotlight. This is 9to5Mac’s weekly series where we showcase the latest apps in the world of indie apps. If you are a developer and want your app to be listed, please contact us.

If you’re an avid Apple Watch user, you may find that you want more exercise options than the Workout app can offer. WatchFit bridges this gap, allowing you to build custom, structured workouts of your choosing.

Top features

WatchFit lets you design workouts to match your outfit. You can build them from scratch or use their gallery for inspiration. However, if you’ve ever felt like Apple’s Workouts app is doing enough for you – WatchFit can help you feel better.

When you structure your workout, you can add warm-ups, cool-downs, and repeat intervals. You can dial things in the way you want rather than just having one fixed workout. When structuring, you can configure the steps based on time, distance or leave it as an open goal.

You can then send the workout to your Apple Watch—provided you give the app access.

You can also schedule workouts with WatchFit, allowing you to plan ahead. When it’s time to exercise, it should appear at the top of the Exercise app on your Apple Watch. You can also track your scheduled workouts using widgets on your iPhone’s home screen.

Download the app

WatchFit is available for free in the App Store for iPhone users running iOS 17 and later. For the full experience, including the ability to plan workouts, organize workouts, and more, you can purchase WatchFit Pro for $1.99/month, $9.99/year, or $19.99 as a one-time purchase. You’ll also need an Apple Watch on watchOS 11 to take advantage of the app.
