Apple is reportedly planning to launch a new ‘Sales Coach’ app later this month. The app will reportedly serve as a place for Apple to provide “sales tips and training resources” to employees, and will also be integrated with an AI chatbot.
The message comes from MacRumorswho quotes an anonymous source “familiar with the matter”.
The “Sales Coach” app will serve as a replacement for Apple’s existing “SEED” app, according to the report. The app “will provide sales tips and training resources for Apple Store and Apple Authorized Reseller employees worldwide,” according to Joe Rossignol, similar to the current “Seed” app.
However, the difference is that the new “Sales Coach” app will reportedly have a new Liquid Glass design. In a later update, the app will also have an artificial intelligence chatbot that employees can use to ask questions about their knowledge of Apple products. “For example, they might ask about the key features of the iPhone Air or ask how the Instant Hotspot feature works on the Mac,” the report explains.
The report says that it is currently unknown whether the app will use a third-party AI platform or Apple’s own models.
“Sales Coach” will reportedly launch on Monday, February 23rd. It will also be accessible to employees through Apple’s website.
