After a relatively quiet start to the year, things are looking up in the Apple world. According to the latest news from BloombergApple has a number of new products that will be introduced in the coming weeks. Here’s what you can expect.
New Apple products coming soon
Apple will introduce several new Macs and Mac-related hardware “over the next few weeks.” Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman:
- New budget MacBook powered by the A18 Pro chip
- The new M5 MacBook Air
- The new M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models
- New Mac displays
The new budget MacBook will reportedly have a display slightly smaller than 13 inches and will be available in a range of colors. The updates to the M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro follow the launch of the entry-level M5 model last fall. The M5 MacBook Air is expected to be a special edition without many other changes. Finally, Apple is said to be working on at least one new external display for the Mac with a higher refresh rate and better image quality.
Gurman previously stated that Apple intends to launch the new MacBook Pros during the macOS 26.3 cycle, with a product announcement “planned as early as the week of March 2.” Today, he reiterated that Apple is “preparing for an event that month.”
While these are upcoming Mac-related announcements, Apple will also be introducing a few other new products soon. The iPhone 17e is coming soon, as are the new entry-level iPad and the M4 iPad Air.
All that said: buckle up, it’s going to be a fun few weeks in the Apple world. What are you most looking forward to? Personally, I think the new budget MacBook A18 Pro has the potential to be one of Apple’s biggest product launches for a long time.
I’m also intrigued by Apple’s plans for new external displays for the Mac. This is a category that Apple tends to neglect, even though a quality external display is essential for Mac users.
