The March 4th Apple Experience, colorful MacBooks and iOS 26.4 on the AppleInsider podcast

Apple’s March 4 experience (left) may bring new features, but iOS 26.4 already does

It’s been a week where we’ve been finding out how much is in the new iOS 26.4 beta, learning about Apple’s plans for video podcasts, as well as so many rumors about the new budget MacBook that will be unveiled at the March event, all on the AppleInsider Podcast.

We didn’t get an updated Siri in the iOS 26.4 developer beta, but it turns out there’s plenty more. There’s a lot to explore in iOS 26.4, from improvements to anti-stolen device protection and an all-new Apple Music enhancement powered by Apple Intelligence.

Just don’t research it until it’s officially released. None of your hosts recommend installing any beta software, none of them intended to install iOS 26.4, and only one of them did so by mistake.

Also this week, all eyes are on the announced Apple Experience on March 4 — and all eyes are probably wrong. We know it’s not a launch, we know it’s not going to be live streamed, we know it’s going to be some sort of briefing for a very limited invited audience.

however, if the expectations of everything imaginable to launch there are likely to be wrong, there are various rumors about what’s coming next. The iPhone 17e is certainly expected, but now it’s also claimed that the long-rumored low-cost MacBook is also coming very soon.

This time it also comes with video podcasts from Apple and the ability to watch Apple TV via CarPlay. When the AI agents aren’t using it, that is.
