Apple releases first public beta of iOS 26.4 with these changes – 9to5Mac

Apple has released the first public beta version of iOS 26.4 for iPhone. iOS 26.4 includes a number of amazing new features and changes, including updates to Apple Music with artificial intelligence.

Apple’s public beta program allows iPhone users to test upcoming software releases in advance. Changes coming in iOS 26.4 include:

  • redesigned view of Apple Music albums and playlists
  • Apple Music’s AI-powered “Playlist Playground” feature
  • personal hotspot data usage reports for individual devices
  • and much more.

Apple is also testing end-to-end encrypted RCS messages and enhanced video podcasts. iOS 26.4 enables stolen device detection by default, and CarPlay video support in iOS 26 is making progress.
