Apple Promotes Upcoming Formula 1 Season With Shot on iPhone Campaign – 9to5Mac

Prior to streaming Formula 1 on Apple TV, Apple worked with various teams to promote their new cars in Shot on iPhone campaigns. As seen in the image above, this includes a partnership with F1 newcomer Cadillac…

Using the iconic Shot on iPhone format, Apple presents various iPhone 17 Pro testing images of a Cadillac and a driver in a garage.

Partnerships extend beyond a single team. Apple partnered with Red Bull to include a Shot on iPhone campaign to launch their car, as well as showing off some of the new engine parts via Apple Vision Pro.

Based on the number of iPhone 17 Pros floating around the paddock during testing this week, more are likely to follow.

It is unclear whether these are separate promotional deals that Apple made with the teams individually, or whether promotional guarantees with the teams were part of the overall Apple-F1 streaming deal.

As a reminder, if you’re in the United States, Apple TV is now the exclusive operator of Formula 1. This means that all Grand Prix races, qualifying and practice sessions will be streamed via the Apple TV app for Apple TV subscribers, starting with the first race weekend on March 7.

Apple TV subscribers will also get access to F1.TV as part of the free benefit, so die-hard fans can continue to use the same customized apps they’re used to. You can link your account now and watch the final round of test sessions next week.

Here’s a full explanation of how the Apple TV Formula 1 deal will work.
