Following yesterday’s release of the developer version of macOS 26.4 beta 2, the public beta is now underway. Here’s what you can expect.
Here’s what to expect from macOS 26.4
With macOS 26.4, Apple has returned the compact bookmarks bar to Safari and now warns users that Rosetta apps will stop working in the future.

Apple has previously informed users and developers that support for its Apple Silicon/Intel translation tool will end with macOS 27, and now it will start showing this notification as a pop-up window, presumably in an attempt to get developers to modify their apps.
In addition, macOS 26.4 adds native support for the popular third-party style battery management feature, which allows users to limit maximum charge levels between 80% and 100%.

The release for today’s public beta 2 of macOS 26.4 is 25E5218f, which is the same as yesterday’s developer build.
