Apple has just shipped RC (release candidate) versions of its upcoming 26.3 software updates, including tvOS 26.3, watchOS 26.3, and more.
Apple 26.3 RC updates are now available
Apple’s next big round of software updates is almost ready to ship. These include:
- iOS 26.3
- iPadOS 26.3
- macOS Tahoe 26.3
- watchOS 26.3
- tvOS 26.3
- visionOS 26.3
- HomePod 26.3
After a reduced cycle of just three relatively small beta releases, Apple today debuted the RC versions of these various software updates.
When the RC is available for testing, it is intended to be the final build of the software that will eventually be shipped to the public shortly thereafter – hence the “release candidate” designation.
But as often happens, one or more RCs may be replaced by other RC builds due to bugs discovered during the testing process.
Overall, Apple’s 26.3 update rollout was very light on new features. The most impressive changes are in iOS 26.3, but even that isn’t too exciting.
