Apple is releasing another update to its Apple Sports app for iPhone. This update adds support for men’s and women’s golf, as well as expanded support for soccer and tennis matches.
Here are Apple’s full update release notes:
- You can now watch men’s and women’s golf on Apple Sports. Keep up with every PGA and LPGA tournament, with live leaderboards, round-by-round scorecards for every golfer, and real-time app, widget and live activity updates.
- The football lineup is growing, with the Copa del Rey, Coppa Italia, Coupe de France and DFB-Pokal.
- Now it’s even easier to keep up with the action during tennis matches with real-time stats.

Apple also promoted the update in a press release today:
Apple Sports — the free iPhone app that gives fans access to real-time scores, stats and other information, delivered quickly and easily — today added golf to its growing list of supported sports.
Golf fans can follow the progress of every tournament with access to live results from all official PGA Tour and LPGA Tour events, including the majors, starting this weekend with the PGA WM Phoenix Open.
Fans can follow their favorite players in every tournament with hole-by-hole results and individual scorecards along with live leaderboards plus scores from every round during every tournament all year long.
Apple released Apple Sports for iPhone two years ago and the app has received consistent updates since then. You can download it for free from the App Store for iPhone.
