High Guardiana new multiplayer shooter from developers who worked on games like Apex Legends and Call of Dutythat launched more than two weeks ago, but developer Wildlight Entertainment is already cutting jobs at the company, according to posts by affected employees on LinkedIn. Former Wildlight level designer Alex Graner says that “most of the team at Wildlight” was let go today, supported by former lead technical artist Josh Sobel.
“Today we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to part ways with a number of our team members while retaining a core group of developers to continue to innovate and support the game,” Wildlight said in a statement. “We’re proud of the team, the talent, and the product we’ve built together. We’re also grateful for the players who gave the game a chance and those who continue to be a part of our community.”
Riot Games also made cuts to a major live service project this week, laying off about 80 people from a recently launched project. 2XKO a fighting game set in League of Legends universe.
