The future of Apple Fitness+ remains “under control,” according to the latest word. Bloombergis Mark Gurman. However, he did not share any specific details.
“If I had to guess, Apple will eventually combine its Health app with Fitness+ in some way — perhaps offering it as a combined subscription,” Gurman said.
Gurman recently reported that Apple has scaled back plans for a standalone Apple Health+ subscription service that would provide artificial intelligence-based health recommendations. However, he said that some features that would be part of Apple Health+ will be redesigned and rolled out individually.
Launched in 2020, Apple Fitness+ offers a library of trainer-led exercise and meditation videos in the Apple Fitness app for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. In the US, the service costs $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. Apple Fitness+ is also included in the Apple One Premier package for $37.95 per month.
