Apple has a new AirTag for sale, but you probably won’t rush out to buy it, as you can still get the old ones for cheaper. But this deal might change your mind: Costco is offering a free AirTag when you buy a 4-pack for $100, essentially giving you five new AirTags for the price of 4, a savings of $45 over the price of buying five AirTags individually. (Note: You do not need to be a member to take advantage of this offer.)
The 2nd generation Apple AirTags are the same size as the previous model and look practically the same. However, they have a louder speaker which makes them easier to find, even if your keys somehow ended up between the couch cushions. Apple also upgraded the Bluetooth chip inside the tracker, extending the range in which items can be found.
Also new is the U2 Ultra Wideband chip, which will allow more accurate localization of lost items, which will certainly come in handy. We’ve already tested the new AirTag 2 and given it a 4-star rating and our Editors’ Choice award, finding it to be a simple and effective Bluetooth tracker that’s also very easy to set up and relatively inexpensive.
So get your 4+1 AirTag 2 deal at Costco for $100 while this combo is still available.
