iOS 26.3.1 Could Be Launching Soon As Another iPhone Update – 9to5Mac

Apple is currently beta testing iOS 26.4 as its next big iPhone update, but for 9 to 5 Macs visitor logs, it seems that a smaller version of the software will be launched first: iOS 26.3.1 will be available soon.

iOS 26.3.1 is being tested by Apple before its public release

Earlier this month, iOS 26.3 debuted with a focus on bug fixes and security updates. It also included several new features for users.

Now it looks like Apple has even more bug fixes and optimizations in store soon.

iOS 26.3.1 is running on the devices they visited 9 to 5 Mac recently confirmed that it is in active development within Apple.

Typically, when we see evidence of a minor new iOS build in the internal visitor logs, the update ships within a week or two.

For example, last month on January 12th, we found proof of the existence of iOS 26.2.1, which shipped two weeks later on January 26th with AirTag 2 support and bug fixes.

With new products expected to launch next week, including the all-new iPhone, it’s possible we’ll see iOS 26.3.1 debut around the same time.

Just as iOS 26.2.1 added support for AirTag 2, perhaps iOS 26.3.1 will do the same for the iPhone 17e. Compatibility with new devices, along with the usual bug fixes and security improvements, sounds like a good fit for a minor update.

We’ll keep you posted on the details of iOS 26.3.1 when the update is released.
