Sale: Get 4 AirTags for just $16 each

Apple AirTag Event Alert! Now that the second generation AirTags are here, the original model is close. A four-pack of these basic Bluetooth trackers is now a whopping 35% off list price on Amazon right now.

That means you can currently pick up a four-pack of AirTags for $64 or $35.99 off. That’s $16 each – not the usual $29.

AirTag deal: Low, low prices at Amazon and Best Buy

You can connect the original tracker from Apple to everything that is often lost. If it disappears, you can open the Find My app on your iPhone and be redirected to its exact location. You can play sound from the AirTag’s small speaker to alert you to its location. No more wandering around the house searching.

This makes this thing great for someone who is absent minded. Maybe it’s your husband who has a lot on his mind, or it could be your child who would lose his mind if she wasn’t permanently attached. This AirTag offer makes it affordable to buy lots of stuff to give away to friends and family.

Yes, the recently released AirTag 2 is better – works from a greater distance, is louder, etc. (Read our review: Why Apple’s AirTag 2 is so much better than the original.)

But rest assured that the first generation model still works well.

Find anything from keys to luggage

AirTag also knows another trick. I have one (or a similar tracker) on my keys, my cat, my umbrella, my backpack… even the casserole I take to parties. I very rarely lose things, but sometimes I leave them behind. With the tracker tag attached, my iPhone alerts me that I left a baking dish at my sister’s house before I leave her neighborhood.

AirTags are also great for tracking luggage and are now supported by several airlines. Or you can attach one to your bike. Apple’s tiny trackers make the perfect gift for just about anyone. (I go into much more detail in my AirTags review.)

The only possible reason not to jump on this AirTag deal is that rumors suggest Apple will release an updated version later this year. Still, no one can own too many AirTags. And the original model works fine, thank you very much.

If you lose an item outside of your home, you can activate lost mode on your AirTag. This feature sends a notification when the AirTag is detected on the Find My network and allows you to include a message with your contact information, such as your phone number or email address, to the person who finds it.

AirTags are powered by CR2032 coin cell batteries, which are included in the package. Spare batteries are easy to pick up almost anywhere. Just make sure you get the uncoated ones or the ones that say “Apple AirTag Compatible”. As Apple points out, “Some CR2032 batteries with a bitter coating may not work with the AirTag or other battery-powered products.”

AirTag batteries typically last about a year before you need to replace them. With an IP67 rating, AirTags are water and dust resistant and quite durable.

This AirTag offer is 34% off

List price for a four-pack of second-generation AirTags is $99, but Amazon’s AirTag sale is 35% off. This brings the cost down to just $16 per AirTag – a great deal for the product. And if you’re an Amazon Prime member, it’ll be delivered to you in a few days.

If you prefer to buy just one tracker, Amazon has one AirTag on sale for $24.
