You can play sound from the AirTag’s small speaker to alert you to its location. No more wandering around the house searching.

If you lose an item outside of your home, you can activate lost mode on your AirTag. This feature sends a notification when the AirTag is detected on the Find My network and allows you to include a message with your contact information, such as your phone number or email address, to the person who finds it.
AirTags are powered by CR2032 coin cell batteries, which are included in the package. Spare batteries are easy to pick up almost anywhere. Just make sure you get the uncoated ones or the ones that say “Apple AirTag Compatible”. As Apple points out, “Some CR2032 batteries with a bitter coating may not work with the AirTag or other battery-powered products.”
AirTag batteries typically last about a year before you need to replace them. With an IP67 rating, AirTags are water and dust resistant and quite durable.
