Investment firm Wedbush is telling its clients to ignore recent reports of Siri’s lag, saying Apple Intelligence will be a boon in 2026.
Wedbush raised its price target for Apple to $350 in December 2025 based on high expectations from Apple Intelligence. Keeping that number, it then repeated that expectation in January 2026 — and now it’s back again, specifically because of recent rumors.
These rumors claimed that testing of the new Siri is going poorly and its improved features will be delayed, possibly until iOS 27 in September. As a result, investors have been selling their Apple shares, but Wedbush says that’s not justified.
Its analysts acknowledge that the features may be more expanded in iOS 26.4, iOS 26.5 and iOS 27. But overall, Apple says it is on target for its planned summer release.
The company still says there is concern over what it describes as Apple’s invisible AI strategy. But in a note to investors seen AppleInsiderits analysts recommend holding on to Apple, and the firm maintains its price target of $350.
Underestimating Apple
Wedbush says 2026 will be the year of artificial intelligence for Apple, and says the Street is greatly underestimating what that will mean for its bottom line. Its analysts are again predicting the possibility of a subscription to Apple Intelligence, saying it could add value of up to $100 per share.
There is the problem that Apple has been perceived as lagging behind its competitors in AI. While he describes Apple’s approach to Apple Intelligence as a soap opera so far, Wedbush thinks that’s about to change.
In particular, he expects better things from Apple than AI, in part because of the Google Gemini deal. Apple has also restructured its AI leadership.
But it all depends on the new Siri being as good as promised. Wedbush says this is one of Apple’s most important technologies in the company’s history.
This is due to the importance of an improved Siri and how it should end Apple being seen as a laggard by investors. But it’s also important because the improved Siri will launch simultaneously for a significant portion of the 1.5 billion iPhones in use.
Separately, the absence of improved Apple Intelligence features in the newly released iOS 26.4 beta doesn’t necessarily mean things are getting delayed. As with the original release of Apple Intelligence, it is at least likely that Apple will not re-enable the features until closer to the public distribution date.
