Apple just held its September event where it announced the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, Apple Watch Series 10, AirPods 4 and more. But there was a surprising new product from Beats that wasn’t mentioned in the keynote: iPhone 16 cases.
Naturally, these Beats cases are designed to protect your precious new device. They’re rockin’ hard polycarbonate, “which is basically a hard plastic that can probably survive a decent drop. A real kicker, though? They’re compatible with camera controls, which is a huge plus.
Of course, Apple hasn’t forgotten about MagSafe – these cases are also fully equipped. What’s more, Apple wants you to know that they’re “precisely crafted” for the iPhone 16. So they should hug your phone like a second skin, caressing its buttons and edges with the utmost care.
If you fancy a choice, you have four color ways to choose from: Midnight black, Summit Stone, Riptide Blueand Sunset purple. At $49 each (that’s about £39 or €46), they’re right in line with Apple’s other offerings, but with a Beats flavor. If you’re quick with your draw, you might even get your hands on one on Wednesday.
What else is new from Apple?
The iPhone 16 launch event saw a lot of announcements from Apple. There is a new camera control on the new iPhones that provides better access to taking photos and videos. Screens across the range are better than ever and more durable. Apple is showing a penchant for new colors this year with plenty of options to choose from.
The Apple Watch Series 10 was a big upgrade with a bigger screen than ever before. The body is the thinnest it’s ever been, things are faster inside and the antennas are moved to the back of the case. The Apple Watch Ultra 2 got a new color variant, and the third-generation Apple Watch SE never materialized.
AirPods have also seen some big changes. AirPods 4 get active noise cancellation and launch an even cheaper $129 model without ANC. AirPods Max get a minor update with USB-C and new colors, while AirPods Pro 2 get a third iteration with new listening technology.
