The Apple Store has shut down ahead of iPhone 16 pre-orders, which begin at 5 a.m. PDT on Friday.
Apple unveiled its new flagship iPhones earlier this week. As usual, there’s a week-long pre-order window before the phones go on sale next Friday. With demand expected to be as strong as most other years, customers looking to get their iPhone on day one should pre-order as soon as the site goes back online to be in on the action.
The launch time of 8am ET, or 1pm in the UK, will also apply to carriers for those who want to keep their iPhones on contract.
iPhone 16 pre-orders, but that’s not all
Today’s launch also signals the start of pre-orders for Apple’s new Apple Watch Series 10 and AirPods 4. The former is a larger Apple Watch with a more advanced display, faster charging and more. Based on the design of Apple’s popular in-ear headphones, AirPods 4 bring noise cancellation to the masses without a rubber tip for the first time.
There will also be pre-orders for the new Apple Watch Ultra 2 in color on Friday, but no other changes can be talked about.
Thanks to the A18 series, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro bring a massive upgrade to the internal processor of both models. There are also significant improvements to the camera, including a new 48MP ultra-wide lens and a new camera control button for touch control and shooting.
